Refraction is the bending of light as
it passes between materials of different optical density. This series is
comprised of one-off original works executed with a combination of multiple
overlays of reflective metal foils opaque and translucent colors, pigments
and dyes fused together with a coating of clear resins. These works takes
weeks to produce. The striking translucency and color saturation result from
the flawless clear finishes. They were designed to change color and depth
when viewed from different angles.
