This series represents one of my
favorite approaches to making art. It's about the sheer beauty and impact of
shimmering shapes and saturated colors on the senses and emotions. I favor
working large so that when the viewer stands fairly close to the painting,
the entire field of vision is filled with color. The technique includes
working on an unprimed surface with poured color, with big, gestural
brushstrokes, sprayed and stained areas, and in most cases, a final finish
coat of clear resin.
